Workforce Florida names Hart as new CEO
Workforce Florida Inc. has named Chris Hart IV the new president and chief executive officer of the non-profit, public/private organization charged with setting policy and oversight of the state's workforce system.
Hart succeeds Curtis Austin, becoming the second president of the agency. Austin, who became the first president in 2000, left in July to become an associate vice chancellor at Keiser University.
Hart is a former senior vice president of external affairs and investor relations for Orlando-based Enterprise Florida Inc. He assumes his new role immediately.
Before Enterprise Florida, Hart was a founding partner in a Tallahassee business, political and communications consulting firm.
