Egon Zehnder International Makes Leadership Changes

Egon Zehnder International has made leadership changes in the U.S. and its global executive committee. Brian Reinken has been named managing partner for Egon Zehnder U.S.A., with the responsibility of leading the firm’s U.S. operations; George Davis has been named as one of eight managing partners on the firm's global executive committee. Both have served as co-managing partners of the U.S. business at Zehnder for the past three years. Mr. Reinken will now serve as sole managing partner for Egon Zehnder U.S.A. These appointments reflect growth at the firm in the U.S. and the importance of the U.S. business to the overall firm. As a member of the global executive committee, Mr. Davis, based in Boston, will represent the U.S., the firm's largest market, and provide insights on how to build the firm's capabilities to serve clients globally. He will continue to co-manage Egon Zehnder's national board practice group. Mr. Davis began his career at Zehnder in 1997 and opened the firm’s Boston office. Mr. Reinken, based in Dallas, will be responsible for the U.S. operations of Egon Zehnder International as managing partner for the U.S. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Mr. Reinken will continue to specialize in the recruitment of C-level executives, with a focus on the technology and consumer sectors. Mr. Reinken, who began his career at Zehnder in 1999, opened the firm's Dallas and Houston offices and has been the managing partner for both offices. Egon Zehnder was founded in 1964 and specializes in executive search services for the consumer, industrial, life sciences and financial services industries among others.

Heidrick & Struggles Hires Former Jacobson Executive Search Recruiter

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International has added Michael J. Loiacano to the firm's Chicago office as a principal in the insurance and life sciences practices. Mr. Loiacano joins Heidrick & Struggles from The Jacobson Group, where most recently he was senior vice president and managing director as well as head of Jacobson Executive Search. IIC Partners Names COO

IIC Partners, a global organization of independent, retainer-based search firms, has appointed former U.K. brigadier general Martin Vine as its new chief operating officer. From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Vine was defense adviser to the British High Commission in Islamabad, Pakistan, where his duties included coordinating U.K. military support to earthquake relief in 2005. Executive search firm Horton International has recruited Carole Varanelli as vice president of quality assurance and control and Prabu Nambiar as vice president of regulatory affairs for Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Heidrick & Struggles Appoints Co-Heads, Global Financial Services Practice

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International has appointed S. John Kim and Daniel Edwards as co-heads of its global financial services practice. Mr. Kim, based in New York, and Mr. Edwards, based in Tokyo, will jointly oversee the practice, which includes more than 100 consultants in 10 diverse sectors across 29 offices. Previously, the practice was led by London-based partner Simon Hall, who will continue in his market-facing role and act as a senior advisor to the practice. "John and Daniel are dynamic, client-focused search professionals who know financial services inside and out globally," said chief executive officer L. Kevin Kelly. Boyden Launches Insurance Practice

Executive search firm Boyden has announced its expansion into the insurance sector and named Richard Dannenberg and Tim Hogan to the insurance team at the firm's Baltimore office. Both veteran search professionals each bring more than 25 years of insurance experience. Mr. Dannenberg specializes in actuarial, finance and risk management, and Mr. Hogan brings expertise in underwriting, claims, and field operations.
